We were delighted with every aspect of our wedding reception at the Proston Golf Club in April 2021. From shaping the theme and styling, to menu design, through to the quality of service and coordination on the day, the Proston Golf Club staff and volunteers were highly professional and organised. The superb rustic-styling of the club house and surrounding lawns created just the ambiance we wanted for our reception. The menu and food quality were exceptional with the majority of our guests rating it 5-star – they are still talking about it! The house-made wedding cake was delicious and beautifully decorated in our chosen wedding theme. The wedding bonbonnieres, also house-made by the golf club based on our choices, were a special treat that our guests have enjoyed immensely. The depth of care and attention to every detail made our wedding reception truly sensational. It exceeded our expectations, and we are entirely grateful to Sara, Geoff and the team of volunteers at the golf club for making this memorable occasion so perfect for us and our guests. We recommend the Proston Golf Club to anyone wanting to host a special occasion!

Big open space for lots of vans. Toilets and showers with lovely touches.
Drinks on a Friday arvo with mad golfers and thier lovely wives and partners. Get a group of 6 or more vans and they’ll cook you a bbq dinner – cant ask for more than that. Special hugs from Margaret.

Travelling Tomlins – WikiCamps

We chose Proston Golf Club as the venue for our special day. The communication from the Golf Clubs committee and volunteers was amazing, they listened to all our requests and made sure our day was everything and more than we expected. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, as was the venue. The staff on the day ensured our guests were served with nibbles and drinks, and went above and beyond. We would have no hesitation in recommending Proston Golf Club for anyone wanting a special event.

Stayed here 5th & 6th June – Fantastic place – heaps of room – nice short grass and very level – about 1km from town with a Spar and a Pub. Friendliest People you will ever meet. Friday night is a hoot after 4pm – the bar is open and the golfers light the fire – great atmosphere. There are H&C showers and flush toilets and town water. You will be made to feel most welcome, can’t recommend highly enough.
